Hierarchical tagging has already been suggested, and as you can see from my comment, I really like this idea since it would allow us to put , , and all under , and under for example.

  • $\begingroup$ I have to argue against this. I think it is better to use multiple tags for this. So dft + td and software + assistance. Each tag may be associated with some other tag as well and be perfectly reasonable. It requires one to search with "multi" tags, but on the other hand it can be way more powerful $\endgroup$

Tables should be sortable, like they are on GitHub and Wikipedia.

Things that would help small sites in particular, such as lower thresholds for creating tag synonyms (it's basically impossible for anyone other than a mod to do it on a small site).

Migrations of questions across the network, could be significantly improved! The asker of this question doesn't seem to even be aware that their question got migrated: How to extract transition density cube from .fch file in Gaussian?

Better support for hyperlinking when sharing questions or answers. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work.
